This
full colour wall map illustrates the hidden bias of conventional
map projections.
What
makes the Peters’ Projection World Map so distinctive is
that countries are shown in their correct proportions. Usually Europe
appears much larger than South America - whereas it is in fact only
half the size. This also means that the equator is placed in the
middle, instead of the usual allocation of 2/3 of the map to the
northern hemisphere, and only 1/3 to the southern hemisphere. The
Peters' Projection World Map gets it right.
Comes
in a choice of either a laminated easy-clean format which can be
marked with a felt-tip pen, or flat and unlaminated.
