Young people face facts

• Nearly half the world’s people are under 25 years old.
• 87 per cent live in the Majority World.
• 462 million live on less than $2 daily.
• 5,000 become refugees every day.
• Every 14 seconds, another youth becomes infected with hiv. The majority are young women.
• 82 million girls now aged between 10 and 17 years will be married by their 18th birthday.
