The Max Havelaar Foundation: The Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, France, Norway

This was one of the earliest fair trade organizations, founded in 1989. The Max Havelaar Foundation licenses its fair trade label to companies who agree to its fair trade conditions, and who agree to be monitored by Max Havelaar inspectors.
