AFRICA Images of Africa In black and white Images of Africa - helpless, savage, starving, ridiculous - have changed hardly at all since Victorian days. And still they prevent us from seeing Africans as real people. Court jesters. Arnin and Bokassa were ridiculous as well as dangerous.
