Peoples Global Action (PGA)
This network of radical grassroots groups from around the world against
free trade and the World Trade Organization has been a catalyst in the
creation of an international network of activists, and in mobilizing groups for
international days of action. Convenors include Ecuadorian indigenous people, Nicaraguan
labour unions, Maori activists and the Italian ˇYa Basta! movement.

The WTOs Desert Storm
This is the next target of the activists who helped scupper the World Trade
Organizations attempt to launch a new trade round at the 1999 Ministerial Meeting in
Seattle. The WTO, fearing a re-run of the street protests that hit Seattle, is heading off
to the desert and making its next bid for a new trade round in Dohar, Qatar. Organizations
